ROOT AND TRANSIT SOUNDS is a creative journey through the musical paths lived and travelled by its two creators: Hames Bitar and Kaveh Sarvarian, musicians from Syria and Iran respectively. Both have gathered and united, in this creative project, their experiences and extensive musical journeys and landscapes, which embrace both the roots of their origins and the seeds sown in their musical careers carried out in Spain.
The origin of this project emerged from their shared experience in some former projects, their friendship, combined with their common desire to create music that would reflect both their musical roots as well as their craving and passion to explore new paths.
Contained within this composition are many other pieces, pieces robed in capes, furs, creases… a reflection of the transit of two artistic lives that look to the future, without losing the memory of the roots under their feet.
The symbolic landscapes that make up the sounds of Arabic music and Persian music are nourished from common roots, through voyages and shared histories, and at the same time, they have their own sources, languages and forms of expression.
With all this diversity as their driving potential, Hames and Kaveh undertake a quest together in search of other ways of making and feeling music as an echo and resonance of the times in which they have lived.
